Travel Protection Insurance

Not purchasing travel protection could result in the loss of travel cost and/or require more money to correct the situation. Note that Travel Protection IS NOT included in the price of the room selections and is non-refundable once purchased.

• TRAVEL INSURED is the insurance recommended by Yellow Umbrella Events and used personally by the company founders. It offers a comprehensive policy called the "Worldwide Trip Protector" plan. That said, you are welcome to use any travel insurance company you prefer. 

• A comprehensive optional add-on to consider is CFAR (Cancel for Any Reason) *not available for New York state residents.

• Another optional add-on to consider is Optional Bed Rest, which helps cover onsite quarantine expenses.

• Optional add-ons like CFAR must be added to your main policy.

• You must purchase travel insurance no later than 21 days from the day you make your initial room payment. 

• The basic "Worldwide Trip Protector" plan (which does not include CFAR or Optional Bed Rest options) can be purchased at any time, including after 21 days from the time you make your initial room payment, but it will not cover the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion Waiver or the Bankruptcy/Default of an airline, cruise line, tour operator, or other travel providers. You can still cancel for a covered reason and receive the specified reimbursement cost. 

• Depending on what you select and the reason for cancellation, travel insurance may cover between 75% - 100% of your trip cancellation, unexpected medical expenses, baggage, flight delays, and more.
